Due to the intimate studio space at La Petit Spa and Lashes, we cannot accommodate the needs of children, while preserving the atmosphere we believe is so important to every client who enters our boutique. We ask that you make child care arrangements prior to your appointment. Please respect this policy and accept our appreciation for your understanding.

All appointments begin and end on time so that the next client is not delayed. If the appointment does not start on time, the service time will be reduced accordingly, and you will still be required to pay full price. If a client is more than 20 minutes late, we may require that the appointment be rescheduled, and it will be considered a cancellation. We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of the scheduled appointment time. In special cases, and when our schedule allows, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with advanced notification of late arrival.

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are an entirely new method of enhancing the length and thickness of your own natural eyelashes and are perfect for special occasions or for day-to-day wear. Lash extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to each individual natural upper eyelash one-by-one for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Traditional false lashes usually last only a few days to a week, often looking unnatural and feeling heavy on your eyes. Our lash extensions are weightless and are very comfortable on the eyes. The adhesive is formulated for a permanent bond and dries soft on lashes so they remain flexible and bouncy.

 

How long do Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions Last?

The look can be maintained indefinitely with refills. When properly applied, an Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extension will remain in place until the natural lash on which it rests falls out. This can be as long as two months or more. Results will differ based on daily activities and general after- care will ultimately affect how long the extensions last.

 

Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 45-60 days). On shorter natural lashes, this growing and shedding cycle is virtually unnoticeable.

 

With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are typically only needed once every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed. Your Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions Stylist will add extensions to the newest mature natural lashes to maintain a full, lush appearance.

 

Why is this service so expensive?

By now you have heard of many different places offering this service. Like many other things, you know there are high quality and low quality products and services. We are proud to be using the best quality products on the market. We also provide the best technique on the market – it shows in the longevity, and the visual outcome of your lashes. Our technique consists of us separating your natural lashes down to one hair at a time and glueing a synthetic hair to a natural individual hair.

 

We hear countless stories of individuals who go to an untrained lash technician because the cost is low. They receive a substandard set of lashes that is clumpy, painful and often damaging to their lashes. A proper application of lashes is not painful during or after the procedure. Eyelash extension application is an exacting process that takes skill and time. If the cost is very cheap, you should certainly question the training of the technician as well as the quality of the product. These same individuals often end up seeking out an Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions Stylist after they try the cheap alternatives. Ultimately, most have realized from experience that the old adage “you get what you pay for” is often true.

 

How long does it take to receive eyelash extensions?

The first full set can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on the amount of lashes you want. After that, your refills generally take between 45-75 minutes.

 

Are extensions attached to upper and lower lashes?

No, only the upper lashes. Currently there are no eyelash extension brands that offer lower lash extensions.

 

I have no lashes at all, can I wear Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions?

Because Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions are applied to existing natural lashes you must have some natural lashes to receive the procedure. Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions should not, and in many cases cannot, be applied to clients who have alopecia, are undergoing chemotherapy or those who suffer from Trichotillomania, unless and until the individual has received effective treatment and normal lash growth has resumed.

 

What if I no longer want to wear my extensions?

Your stylist can safely remove your extensions for you, causing no harm to your natural lashes. If you choose to remove yourself by pulling or picking them off you risk pulling out your natural lashes and causing breakage and damage.

 

Can I use a product to help my lashes grow while wearing extensions?

Yes. We recommend a healthy diet and several of our clients find benefit in taking a supplement to cause hair to grow which helps strengthen the natural lashes. Also, we recommend using Amplifeye® if you need additional help growing thicker eyelashes. This can be used while you are wearing extensions and is safe enough to use on the bottom lashes and eyebrows.

 

Can I tint or dye my natural lashes while wearing extensions?

Yes, upper and lower lashes can be tinted while wearing extensions.

 

Can I receive a refill from La Petit if I had a full set put on elsewhere?

We can do a refill on Xtreme Lashes® only. As long as they were applied correctly we can refill however it is up to the stylists discretion to make sure there is no clumping or damage being caused by the lashes we did not apply. In that case we would advise you to have the extensions removed and properly applied by one of our certified stylists.

 

What if I have an allergic reaction?

An allergic reaction to the adhesive is rare; however, if you are allergic to adhesives such as band-aids or glue or have sensitive eyes, please ask your technician for our special odorless glue. You must contact your technician if you do suffer an allergic reaction and have your extensions removed. The only way to eliminate the itching and swelling is to eliminate the allergen itself.

 

Is there anything I should do in preparation for my appointment?

Yes. Please remove all eye makeup before your appointment. Be sure to use a mild, oil-free remover/cleanser.
